Seven other Faculty Members from Coulter Department Named to Fall 2024 Honor Roll
The students have spoken: Two faculty members from the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering have been ranked among the best instructors on campus, according to the latest results from the Course Instructor Opinion Survey (CIOS).
David Myers and Balakrishna Pai were named winners of the 2024 Georgia Tech CIOS Award, for teaching excellence. Additionally, seven BME faculty made the Fall 2024 CIOS Honor Roll. As always, these honors come from Georgia Tech students, whose responses comprise the CIOS scores.
Each year, 40 to 50 faculty winners from across the Georgia Tech campus are selected and announced in January for courses they taught during the previous calendar year. The winners each receive a $1,000 stipend, provided by the Jack and Frances Mundy and Class of 1940 W. Roane Beard endowments.
This is the second straight CIOS Award for Myers, and the popular Pai has also won the award multiple times.
Meanwhile, every semester Georgia Tech students celebrate the outstanding teaching of instructors across campus by voting them to the CIOS Honor Roll. The seven BME faculty named to the Fall 2024 lineup are Ankur Singh, Ariana Turner, Chris Hermann, Ahmet Coskun, Fatiesa Sulejmani, Laura Christian, and Pai.
Each Honor Roll recipient gets a certificate from the Center for Teaching and Learning and an invitation to the next Celebrating Teaching Day (March 2025).
