Biolocity is a life sciences incubator that supports both Emory and Georgia Tech faculty seeking to commercialize their research. Biolocity provides faculty with seed funding, project management support, and consulting services as they seek to create an early-stage company centered on their research.

Supports innovative research into single-ventricle defects, which is when there is only one ventricle large enough to do the normal job of pumping blood. Selected projects went through a competitive process where they had to present their groundbreaking research and explain short- and long-term milestones.

Supports the BME Capstone program and other immersive instructional design and innovation initiatives throughout the BME curriculum and undergraduate problem driven learning experience. Related expenses associated with the delivery of these programs include, but are not limited to, prototyping and testing, equipment, expertise and supplies, and fees and travel expenses for student design conferences and competitions.
Provides direct support to or for projects and initiatives connected to BME students, with preference that it benefit underrepresented minority students.
Supports the work of the Biolocity program to guide medical innovation to market and related efforts at BME to advance translational research and commercialization efforts. Funds may be used to support both Georgia Tech and Emory University initiatives per the Common Fund agreement between the two institutions.
Supports the work of the McCamish Parkinson’s Disease Innovation Program and related efforts to accelerate and advance technology-driven research innovations to enable the understanding, treatment, and cure for Parkinson’s disease and other complex neurological disorders. Funds may be used to support both Georgia Tech and Emory University initiatives per the Common Fund agreement between the two institutions.
