Endowed Milton Chair - Tenured Faculty

Job Summary: The Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering (http://bme.gatech.edu), a joint department between Georgia Tech's College of Engineering and Emory University's School of Medicine (Atlanta, GA), solicits applications for an endowed chair to be appointed and located in the College of Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. We invite senior applicants for the Robert A. Milton Chair Endowed Chair in Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech.

Responsibilities: Successful candidates will be senior faculty with a demonstrated capability to (i) lead a highly impactful and translational research program, (ii) provide outstanding mentorship to trainees and junior faculty, and (iii) enrich and engage in a collegial Departmental environment. Candidates must have an internationally recognized track record of discovery and research development, and be eligible for appointment as a full professor with tenure to continue their leadership in contemporary engineering and innovation.
Required Qualifications: A PhD in engineering or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
The ability to teach and mentor a diverse student body
Has expertise in teaching, scholarship, and/or service that contributes to access and equal opportunity in higher education
