Research Interests:
Dr. Tirouvanziam's laboratory focuses on mechanisms of innate immunity in humans and their relations to chronic human disease, with emphasis on target identification for the development of novel therapies. Dr. Tirouvanziam has led efforts to redefine the fate of neutrophils in the fatal disease cystic fibrosis (CF) and served as principal scientist on phase 1 and 2 clinical trials in CF and autism. Dr. Tirouvanziam's research has been published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Blood, and the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, among others.
