My lab is interested in the molecular mechanisms of enveloped virus entry into cells and its regulation by host factors. We investigate entry of several important pathogens, such as HIV-1, Influenza virus, arenaviruses and SARS-CoV-2, using a pseudovirus system. Our experimental approaches include novel virus labeling and visualization techniques in living cells, fluorescence super-resolution microscopy, single molecule imaging, and correlative light-cryo-electron microscopy (CLEM) in cell culture and lipid bilayer models.
